Questionnaire was completed immediately prior to Willie Donachie’s
appointment as ‘permanent’ team manager.

Since our last questionnaire, there has been more upheaval at the Den, with
the departure of Peter de Savary, Heather Rabbatts becoming the chairman of
Millwall Holdings PLC, Nigel Spackman departing and Willie Donachie taking
over the team management in a caretaker capacity. We’ve seen some much
improved performances, but despite some good results we are still in the
bottom four. Meanwhile a few scraps of information about the proposed
regeneration project around the Den have been revealed in Michael Sarch’s
interview in the Southwark News.
As far as the fans are concerned, the MSC committee’s efforts to forge a
productive and influential relationship with the club appear to be either
stalled by the club, or at least not considered important enough to warrant
any action. The Lions Trust has been criticised for being too quiet, and too
concerned about long term issues to the detriment of shorter term ones. The
Trust has taken the opportunity to co-opt Nick Hart on to the Trust board.
Nick has a high profile in the internet community, is a columnist in the
fanzine NOLU, was a key figure in the MFU initiative last year, and was a
candidate in the Fan on the Board election. It is anticipated that at least three
more new board members will be proposed for election to the Trust board,
with a view to ‘making more noise, and boosting recruitment’.
