Since our last questionnaire, Millwall FC has changed almost beyond recognition.  We have been relegated to League 1, we’ve seen the departure of David Tuttle, and eight players haven’t had their contracts renewed.  Hayles, Livermore, Lawrence and Cogan have left.  Theo Paphitis has left the board of directors.  On the positive side, we have a new Football Club Chairman, Stewart Till, a new Executive Deputy Chairman, Heather Rabbatts, another new board member in Trevor Keyse, a new influx of cash, a new Team Manager, Nigel Spackman, and other appointments to the backroom. We have also signed an unprecedented 15 new players, some of whom are undoubtedly of good quality for a club of our stature.

The deadline for Earlybird Season Ticket prices was extended twice.  The Club initiated a new scheme, Let ‘Em Come Back (LECB), in which volunteer fans contacted lapsed season ticket holders in an attempt to persuade them to renew.   This was fairly successful.  However, there was chaos in the ticket office and the Season Tickets were sent out late, and the Membership Cards still haven’t gone out yet.

The unprecedented pre-season optimism, resulting from the plethora of changes, apparently for the better, both on and off the field, has subsided as we’ve won one point from the first three matches, and the catering and the ticket office were a disaster at the first league match.

4] The Regeneration Scheme

  • Previous schemes have not happened and the club went backwards
  • I see no clear indication of how the football side will benefit
  • I don’t believe it will happen
  • I don’t believe that the football club will benefit significantly financially
  • It will drain football club funds in the short term
  • We need more detailed information
  • We need an undertaking that the football club will benefit
  • We need an undertaking that the football club is safe if the project is abandoned

6} Reasons for not renewing Season Tickets

  • There’s not enough evidence of real ambition as a club
  • The club’s attitude towards the fans must change, it’s shocking
  • I need to see that this season is not like last season
  • It’s September and the membership cards haven’t gone out! What evidence is there of any improvement?  They must sort out this shambles.

16] Comments about The Lions Trust

  • The Trust must try to become more visible
  • Keep up the good work
  • The Trust must distance itself from the club management
  • The Trust should be more active on day to day issues, such as the Yeovil farce
  • The Trust has become too quiet and become irrelevant.  This needs sorting
  • Focus on ticket prices, missing fans, redevelopment plans
  • The Trust has been too quiet during all the changes at the club
  • Have more public meetings
