MISA / Lions Trust Prediction Contest: Season 2007/2008
The entry fee for the contest is £20.00 per person:
- 50% of money raised will be donated to the Lions Trust
- 40% of money raised will be paid to the contest winner at the end of the season (1st Prize)
- 10% of money raised will be paid to the runner up at the end of the season (2nd Prize)
THE RULES
All entries must be made by posting predictions for Millwall's League One games on the MISA message board within the appropriate thread which will be located within the "MISA/Trust Prediction League" forum. Prediction posts can be made anytime up until the game kicks off. However, we recommend that predictions are made at least one hour prior to the scheduled kick-off because the thread may be locked at any time after one hour before kick-off.
Under no circumstances whatsoever will predictions be accepted after kick-off.
Predictions can be changed by making additional post(s), the most recent of which will cancel and replace any previous entry. Amended or edited posts are not acceptable (such amendments/edits may be ignored). No prediction posts should be deleted by the originator as any recorded prediction will stand. The prediction league table will be updated at irregular intervals, but usually within 72 hours of each match being played. Any disputes in respect of allocated scores should be posted on MISA/Trust's prediction league forum within 3 days of the updated scores being published. Disputes posted in any other forum are not guaranteed to be acted upon. All decisions are at the discretion of the MISA committee, or those individuals delegated by MISA to adjudicate the prediction league table.
The contestant with the highest total points scored after the last league game of the season will be declared the winner. In the case of a a tie, the total points scored less points deducted for inaccurate goal tallies will be divided by the number of predictions made. This will give an average score. The individual entrant with the highest average will be declared the winner in the case of a tie (subject to the rules shown above). In the event of a tie where both the total score and the average scores are identical then the individual entrant with the most "exact score" predictions will be declared the winner.
SCORING
- Each correctly predicted exact score will win a total of 25 points.
- Each correctly predicted result (win, lose, or draw) will win 10 points
(exact scorers do NOT receive additional 10 points)
- 1 point will be deducted for each goal scored over or under the total goals predicted.
(Therefore, accuracy of total number of goals predicted will affect the scores).
NOTE: A result of Millwall 4-1 west h*m is used in all the examples below:
Example #1: if a 0-0 result was predicted, then 5 points will be deducted.
Example #2: if any 1-0 result was predicted, then 4 points will be deducted.
Example #3: if any 2-0 result or 1-1 draw was predicted, then 3 points will be deducted.
Example #4 if any 3-0, 2-1 or 4-3 result was predicted then 2 points will be deducted.
Example #5 if a 3-1, 5-1, 4-0 or 6-0 result or a 2-2 or 3-3 draw was predicted then 1 point will be deducted.
Example #6 if a 3-2 or 5-0 result was predicted (or God forbid a 1-4 win by west h*m) then NO points will be deducted.
PAYMENTS
Entry fee payments must be made prior to the 2007/08 season starting. No late entries will be accepted. Payments can be made by any of the following methods:........

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS
After all monies are collected, the post/thread will be updated to show the exact amounts payable to the Lions Trust (50%), the competition winner (40%) and the runner up (10%). NOTE: Doug Humphris (MrPiggy) is granted free entry to the competition, but will absorb any Paypal fees.
